MY MUSIC VIDEO OF CHOICE

The Animals - House of the Rising Sun
This music video lacks narrative as it is just a performance. Released in the '60s, this is one of the most popular British releases, and 'The Animals' top song. The song falls under the rock genre with a hint of the blues.

I believe a narrative would fit well under a Western genre with it telling of a man turning himself into the law. Lyrics like, "I'm going back to New Orleans to wear that ball and chain" show how this person could be doing that. But for the better good of his family or town, we don't know. We suspect he may be a gambler as a lyric states, "My father was a gambling man".

The House in New Orleans could be the prison he is going to.

Welcome to Prarie Town, a small western mining town located in Oklahoma. The year is 1895, and the notorious and infamous gunslinger and outlaw Alan Cornwallis is plans to finally turn himself in for his crimes. Rumour states that he accidentally killed a loved one while trying to stop a bounty. Now, in regret he returns to his hometown to board the train to New Orleans to wear that ball and chain and to put his former life to rest, for good.
